Field Trip to Emerson Point Preserve

Join Billie & Jerry Knight on a guided bird walk through Emerson Point Preserve. 

Emerson Point Preserve is situated on the West end of Snead island on the North shore of the Manatee river with Terra Ceia Bay to the north. It offers a network of hiking and kayak trails to experience a wide variety of coastal Florida wildlife and habitats.

Everyone is welcome to attend walks. 

When going bird watching it is important to be well-prepared and comfortable. Here is a checklist of what to bring and wear: 

• Wear comfortable shoes since there will be walking
• Hat to shield you from the sun and reduce glare
• Binoculars for close up view of birds. 
• Field guide, eBird & Merlin apps are helpful in bird identification – your guides will help 
• Water to stay hydrated
• Sunscreen and Insect Repellant
